Job:

- Description: Plans, organises and maintains the necessary equipment and personnel to successfully handle emergency situations involving Hazardous Materials and Goods as defined by NFPA
and ICAO criteria.

- "Guide" Requirements:

Education: Twelve (12) years formal education. Associates Degree in Fire Science required. Master Degree in Fire/Rescue related subject desirable.

Qualifications: Shall have completed courses in and be qualified to NFPA - 1021 Officer Level III. Shall also have completed a minimum of 120 training hours on subjects relating to hazardous material. NFPA 472 qualified.

* Nationals of Countries other than the United States shall possess qualifications at least equal to the above *

Experience: Fifteen (15) years experience in fire/rescue services at an Airport having large frame aircraft assigned, including four (4) years in a supervisory or leader position. At least three (3) of the past six (6) years must have been as an active member of a hazardous materials team. Possession of a University Degree in fire/rescue related subjects and/or written evidence of direct participation in a major accident involving hazardous material will reduce the experience requirement by four (4) years.

Other: Valid heavy vehicle operator's licence in country of origin and ability to obtain same in Saudi Arabia. Must be familiar with NFPA codes and IFSTA manuals. Also, must be in good physical health.
